Manchester United fans unconvinced by surprise Ashley Young and Kyle Walker statistic

The vast majority of Manchester United fans didn't bat an eyelid when Ashley Young signed a one-year contract extension at Old Trafford in February.

The announcement came on the eve of United's 2-0 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain, when the Reds were on an 11-match unbeaten run under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

At that stage in the season, United's players - Alexis Sanchez aside - could do no wrong.

Fast-forward four months, though, and Young is one of several players United fans are desperate to see the back of after his disappointing end to the campaign.

However, Young's season wasn't all bad. He did, after all, outperform his Manchester City counterpart Kyle Walker in the Premier League.

The 33-year-old netted two goals and two assists in the top flight over the course of the campaign, with Walker managing just one goal and one assist.

It's fair to say fans aren't convinced Young's stats mean he had a better season than Walker.

...

Great banter.

GOAT.

No words.
