Manchester United fans send Ashley Young message ahead of Inter Milan transfer

Manchester United fans have wished Ashley Young luck ahead of his transfer to Inter Milan.

The United captain will travel to Milan on Friday to complete his medical ahead of a £1.3million, plus add-ons, move to the San Siro, which will see him unite with Antonio Conte, who tried to sign him while in charge of Chelsea in 2017.

United were reluctant to let Young, who was the club's longest serving player after arriving in 2011, leave Old Trafford in January and offered him a new one-year contract.

However, Young turned down the offer as he had already agreed terms with Inter and, at 34-years of age, he is conscious that his career is coming to an end and was keen to move to Italy for a final experience.

The full-back has also seen himself fall further down the pecking order this season following the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and emergence of youngster Brandon Williams.

Young will swap Manchester for a title race in Italy, where Inter are still in with a chance of winning Serie A as they sit two points behind table toppers Juventus. He will also follow former teammates Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan.

With the news of his imminent departure, United fans took to social media to wish Young the best of luck on the next step in his career.
