Manchester United fans have sent their messages of support to Harry Maguire after he scored against Newcastle United.
The United captain has struggled for form this season after a tough summer. His form at the start of the campaign suffered, with United conceding 11 goals in their opening three Premier League matches.
Maguire was also sent off on international duty with England this week to compound a tough start to the season.
That had led to suggestions he should be taking out of the firing line but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named his captain in the starting XI against Newcastle United and was duly rewarded.
With United 1-0 down after Luke Shaw's early own goal, Maguire rose highest to head the Reds level at St James' Park.
The goal was met with positive messages from United supporters, who were delighted to see him on the score sheet.
It was a much-needed goal for Maguire and hopefully a huge confidence booster after a difficult week.
Maguire and his side will need to be at their very best in midweek as they face Paris Saint-Germain in their first UEFA Champions League game of the season, with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both set to start at the Parc des Princes.
