Manchester United fans react to David de Gea starting against Liverpool FC

Manchester United fans are delighted to see David de Gea start between the sticks for the Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named his side to face Jurgen Klopp's men with the Spaniard starting despite being substituted with injury in mid week for Spain.

De Gea left the field with a groin problem, casting doubt over whether he would feature at Old Trafford, with Sergio Romero ready to start in his place.

Nevertheless, De Gea starts alongside Aaron Wan-Bissaka who returned from illness and Victor Lindelof who didn't feature in the defeat against Newcastle.

Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Jesse Lingard all miss the game through injury, while Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are the long-term injury absentees.

Before the game, Solskjaer said: "I have seen lots of positives already from the start of the season. We are working hard to make our players much more robust and our pre-season has certainly helped with that."

He refused to give much indication on whether De Gea would be fit to play, but fans are delighted to see the first-choice stopper start.
