Manchester United fans make Brandon Williams demand after Premier League win against Brighton

Manchester United fans have demanded Brandon Williams keep his place in the United back four instead of Ashley Young after he made his Premier League starting debut against Brighton.

Young was ruled out of the game due to suspension meaning Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed Williams another start after he featured against Partizan Belgrade in mid week.

Williams wasn't fazed by the occasion and put in an excellent performance - almost getting on the scoresheet in the second half but he was denied by a decent save from Mathew Ryan.

The 19-year-old made four tackles - only Aaron-Wan Bissaka made more for United - and completed 88 per cent of his passes. Williams also made five ball recoveries to help United get back on the front foot.  He was substituted in the final moments and received a well deserved standing ovation.

United fans are desperate to see Williams retain his place in the side ahead of Young and the returning Luke Shaw for their upcoming fixtures.

Crucial games against Manchester City and Tottenham are just around the corner but supporters feel that Williams is more than capable of dealing with the pressure.
