Manchester United fans love Marcus Rashford's cheeky Spurs tweet after brace vs Tottenham

Marcus Rashford has celebrated his match-winning brace against Tottenham by declaring: 'doubters spur me on.'

Rashford scored at the start of both halves as United recorded an impressive 2-1 win over Tottenham, managed by former manager Jose Mourinho.

The forward was in impressive form as he forced visiting goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga into two fine saves in the first half after beating him at the near post in the sixth minute. Rashford's penalty four minutes after the break secured the win after he won the spot kick by driving into the box.

The two goals take Rashford's tally to 12 goals in 20 appearances this season in all competitions as he continued what is his most productive campaign at United to date. His brace on Wednesday night also means the six occasions he has scored twice in a game have come against fellow 'Big Six' sides.

After the game, Rashford took to Twitter to say: "Doubters just spur me on," seemingly in reference to Tottenham's widely-used 'Spurs' nickname.

The pun did not escape the attention of United fans, who loved Rashford's confidence after his latest goals at Old Trafford:
