Manchester United fans have Sergio Romero suggestion after latest David de Gea error

Manchester United fans want to see David de Gea given a rest in the final two games of the season, after he made another mistake in the Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

De Gea spilled a simple Antonio Rudiger shot straight into the path of Marcos Alonso at the end of the first half to gift Chelsea an equaliser at Old Trafford in a game United couldn't afford to lose in their hunt for a top four finish.

De Gea's error comes after allowing Lionel Messi's shot to squeeze under him in the Champions League quarter final second leg, and some questionable goals conceded in the 4-0 defeat at Everton. There were also suggestions he was at fault for both Manchester City goals in last week's derby defeat.

The United keeper has won four out of the last five Player of the Year awards at the club, but is unlikely to retain his title after an inconsistent season.

And although United fans were quick to show their support for their number one, they also wanted to see him taken out of the firing line for the remaining two fixtures of the season in place of Sergio Romero.
