Manchester United fans furious about Barcelona Sergio Busquets referee decision

Manchester United supporters feel Sergio Busquets should have been sent off for two yellow cards in the first half of the Reds' Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona at Old Trafford

The 30-year-old upended Scott McTominay early on after the United midfielder broke forward to win a loose ball. Busquets' high and late sliding challenge denied the Scotland international a clear sight on goal.

Busquets, 30, earned a telling off from referee Gianluca Rocchi for his poorly-timed lunge on McTominay when a yellow card might have been a more apt punishment.

The Spain international then pulled Paul Pogba back to earn his place in the referee's notebook, with Marcus Rashford thundering the resulting free-kick over the cross bar.

And United fans on Twitter believe Busquets should have been sent his marching orders soon after Luke Shaw's own goal gave Barcelona the advantage.

'Uefalona'

'Has to book him'

'Should be a yellow'

Timing is irrelevant

'Got away with it'

'Should be off'

'Two yellows already'

'Dirty'
