Manchester United 'face Real Madrid competition for Wilfried Ndidi' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United face competition from Real Madrid to sign Wilfried Ndidi, according to reports in Spain.

Their midfield situation is no secret and with Paul Pogba seemingly on the cusp of an Old Trafford exit, the Reds are already in the market for reinforcements.

Aurélien Tchouaméni is one of the names touted with a possible switch but it's the Leicester City man whom Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side face competition for.

And it's Carlo Ancelotti's side in the running as they reportedly seek a replacement for Casemiro in the middle of the park, that is according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish outlet continues to report that the Nigerian could be available for a fee in the region of €60m but it's imaginable that the Foxes will try and earn a healthier profit for one of their prized assets.

Manchester United are reportedly following him closely and are eyeing a move for their Premier League rival in January.

Meanwhile, there has been some reported movement between the sticks at Old Trafford.

Firstly, David de Gea could be on the verge of a contract extension as United are set to undergo extension talks.

That is according to Ekrem Konur, via Caught Offside who reports that the club will begin negotiations with one of the standout performers for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season and has 18-months remaining on his current deal.

Whilst in the goalkeeping ranks, Dean Henderson is reportedly looking for a move away from Old Trafford as he looks for first-team minutes.

The former Sheffield United player enjoyed a stint in the squad as De Gea struggled for form but the veteran's surge in performances has reaffirmed his place as United number one.

Daily Mail reports that the 24-year-old will look for new pastures in the summer as he looks to give Gareth Southgate something to think about going into the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
