Manchester United conjure Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard transfer plan plus more rumours

The Sun is reporting Manchester United could use Jesse Lingard as their bargaining chip to sign Jadon Sancho as it's suggested Borussia Dortmund are admirers of the playmaker, impressed by his sensational loan spell at West Ham this term.

The MEN understands United are refusing to rule out a transfer for Sancho, who they coveted last summer, and the 21-year-old continues to go from strength to strength in Germany, having scored 16 goals and provided 18 assists this season.

Despite entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, United are said to value Lingard at £20million.

Meanwhile, it's been claimed that Lionel Messi's agent has made contact with United over a possible transfer this summer.

The Sun report that Messi's agent has now started the process to find his client a new club, with the six-time Ballon d'Or winner ready for a move and his contract at Barcelona set to expire at the end of the season.

The report claims Messi would demand £500,000-per-week wages after-tax to move to the Premier League, meaning the deal would make the 33-year-old the highest-paid player in the division's history.

We know what you're thinking - and yes, you can probably file this one under "won't happen".
