Manchester United confirm Ole Gunnar Solskjaer press conference change

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will conduct his pre-match press conference for Sunday's trip to West Ham United on Thursday instead of the usual time on a Friday lunchtime, the club has confirmed.

United have released an update on their website to confirm that the Norwegian will address the media ahead of the weekend's trip to the London Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Despite the change to a usually consistent schedule, United have not issued a reason for the alteration, only to confirm that Solskjaer will preview the clash with David Moyes' side "in detail."

The decision to move Solskjaer's press conference forward by a day means that he will face the media for the second time in less than 48 hours, following on from Tuesday evening's 2-1 defeat to Young Boys in their UEFA Champions League Group F opener in Switzerland.

United suffered late agony against David Wagner's side, conceding a 95th-minute winner when Jesse Lingard's under-hit back-pass was pounced upon by substitute Jordan Siebatcheu.

United, who had Aaron Wan-Bissaka sent-off, were leading 1-0 at half-time thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's third goal in two matches, but were pegged back just over 20 minutes into the second half, before missing out on a point right at the death.

Reviewing his side's disappointing Group F opener, Solskjaer said: "It looked like a well-earned point and a good point in a difficult game.

"When you get the first goal you think you've got a great chance, it's enough to win the game but unfortunately that sending off will always have an impact."
