David Silva failed to train with Manchester City during Monday morning’s preparations for the Champions League match at Sevilla.
Silva is nursing an ankle injury and now seems certain to miss the trip, although Manuel Pellegrini stated at the weekend a late decision would be made regarding the midfielder’s availability for Tuesday’s match.
Fabian Delph and Gaël Clichy did take part in the session following respective hamstring and ankle problems.
City fly to Sevilla for their fourth Group D match on Monday afternoon. They have six points and are second behind Juventus on seven. If City were to defeat Sevilla they would move six points clear of Unai Emery’s side and be in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages.
