Manchester City fans want the Blues to sign Cristiano Ronaldo after missing out on Tottenham's Harry Kane.
Signing Kane, 28, was Pep Guardiola's priority in the transfer market as the City boss hoped to replace Sergio Aguero at the Etihad with another prolific centre-forward this summer, but the striker revealed on Wednesday that he would remain at Spurs.
"It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks. I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success," Kane wrote.
That announcement has instantly ended City's pursuit of the three-time Premier League golden boot winner and, with transfer deadline day on Tuesday 31 August now looming closer, supporters want Ronaldo to complete a sensational move to City.

Reacting to Kane's statement, City fans seemed to unanimously agree that signing Ronaldo should now be the club's priority.
If Ronaldo does join City, he'd join Peter Schmeichel, Andy Cole, Carlos Tevez, Owen Hargreaves, David Law, Brian Kidd and Jadon Sancho - although Sancho never started for City - on the small list of players that have played for both Manchester clubs.
