Police launch hunt for London bus thief

Police want to speak to a man who is linked to as many as 20 different theft offences on London buses.

Gigi Bratasanu, believed to be aged between 40 and 45, is suspected of committing numerous thefts on buses, all in the Newham area.

He is six foot tall, slim, with receding grey hair and a beard, the Metropolitan Police say.

They have released an image of Bratasanu in a bid to prompt the public to come forward if they know of his whereabouts.

Officers from the Met’s Road and Transport Policing Command want to locate him as soon as possible and are appealing for the public’s help.

Anyone who knows where Bratasanu is, or who has other information which may assist the police, should call 101, giving the reference 2108/27JAN.

Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
