Man wanted by police in connection with 'rape and assault' believed to be in Scotland

Police hunting for a man wanted for “a number of serious offences” believe he has travelled to the west coast of Scotland.

Owen Buck is wanted in connection with allegations of rape, criminal damage, assault and stalking between November 2021 and January 2022, reports the Daily Record.

The 34-year-old is from Preston in Lancashire, but has links in North Ayrshire and police believe he has travelled across the border.

Bucks has ties specifically with Irvine, Stevenson and Dalry, all of which would be accessed via Glasgow on public transport.

Officers on the hunt describe him as white, 5ft8 and of medium build with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Trainee Detective Constable Joe Harper, of Lancashire Police, said: “Buck is wanted for a number of serious offences.

“Our enquiries suggest he is in Scotland and I would encourage people to share our appeal.

“If you can help with our investigation, please come forward.”

Anyone with info on Owen Buck’s whereabouts can contact police on 101 or email 4807@lancashire.police.uk quoting log 0788 of February 7.
