Not long after Ander Herrera announced he would be leaving Manchester United on a free transfer at the end of the season he arrived at Carrington to train alongside his Red Devils team-mates.
Herrera was in a contract stand-off for some time at Old Trafford, with executive vice chairman Ed Woodward unwilling to meet his wage demands of around £200,000-a-week.
The Spaniard announced his imminent departure on social media with a heartfelt message to the Red Devils supporters.
He is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, but will be part of United's squad for the final match of the Premier League season against Cardiff City, and reported to training as usual on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to part company with a number of high-profile players this summer and there were a few worried-looking faces arriving at Carrington.
Among them Antonio Valencia, who, like Herrera, is set to leave Manchester United on a free transfer this summer after ten years at the club.

Other players whose futures are uncertain include Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku.
The trio have failed to impress at United this season, and could all be moved on to free up funds for new recruits in the coming months.

The Red Devils have their eye on a number of big-money players, with Solskjaer keen to sign Bruno Fernandes and Joao Felix.
