Man Utd set Paul Pogba price tag as Real Madrid warned over midfielder's transfer

Real Madrid are facing up to paying £150million straight cash for Paul Pogba but are still pressing on with his potential signing.

Unsettled Manchester United ace Pogba is in-demand and also wanted back at Juventus by his old club.

But Real are favourites to land United's French midfielder, who cost £89m from Juve in August 2016.

Madrid boss Zindine Zidane has ear-marked his French compatriot as a key signing to turn around Real's fortunes.

He has already brought in Eden Hazard , Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy , Eder Militao and Rodrygo in a £250m spree.

But Zidane has no plans to stop there and is now urging Real chairman chairman Florentino Perez to get Pogba.

Pogba recently publicly admitted he is open to quitting Old Trafford and the enigmatic midfielder could prove a handful if he doesn't get his way.

The World Cup winner said: “After this season and everything that happened, with my season being my best season, it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

But Real's hopes of including Gareth Bale in any potential deal look very slim however.

Bale is planning to return for pre-season with the Spanish giants.

The ex-Spurs ace is not rushing back to the Premier League with three years left on over £600,000-a-week on a mega contract worth around £100m.

He is refusing to be forced out on the cheap despite preparing to turn 30 in July.

Bale was disappointing on his return to action earlier this month with Wales in back-to-back defeats to Croatia and Hungary to dent hopes of reaching Euro 2020.

But the star is understood to feel it was just because of a lack of action at Madrid under Zidane, who froze him out for the last three games of the season and last used Bale on April 28
