Man Utd set Juventus and Real Madrid new asking price for Paul Pogba transfer

Paul Pogba will be allowed to leave Manchester United in a cut-price deal this summer, according to reports.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has always insisted that Pogba is important to his plans for United, despite constant speculation of a move to either Real Madrid or Juventus.

Pogba was pictured training in a Juventus shirt on Wednesday - although it was as a show of support for his France teammate Blaise Matuidi, who has become the second player from the Serie A club to test positive for coronavirus.

But it may not be the last time we see Pogba in a Juventus shirt.

The 27-year-old midfielder was priced out of a move last summer, with United having slapped a £180million price tag on his head.

But this summer the club will accept £100m for the World Cup winner in order to finally move on from the long-running transfer saga, according to The Sun.

The publication reports that both United and Pogba want a parting of the ways, with Solskjaer not wanting egos to get in the way of the rebuilding job underway within his team.

The news will alert Madrid, Paris-Saint Germain and Pogba's former club Juventus, who sold the midfielder to United in 2016 for a then world-record £89m.

Since joining United, Pogba has struggled to produce his best form consistently, and this season has played just eight times for the Red Devils due to injury problems.

United's midfield has looked in good shape without Pogba recently, with Bruno Fernandes having given the team a huge lift since joining the club in January.

Solskjaer's side also have Scott McTominay fit again after injury, Nemanja Matic is back from the cold, while Fred has delivered much improved performances recently.
