Man Utd's forgotten man reveals transfer wish after Premier League admission

Andreas Pereira has confessed his desire to remain at Lazio after struggling for opportunities at Manchester United.

The Brazilian has spent the year in the Italian capital, playing 32 times in all competitions.

Pereira has been at Old Trafford for almost a decade and hailed it as a "second home".

Despite that he admits he has struggled to adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a relatively settled squad in Manchester and is looking to build on their recent momentum meaning opportunities may be few and far between.

Pereira is now gearing up for showdown talks with the Red Devils with the ball firmly in their court.

He told Tuttomercatoweb: “Premier League, Serie A, and La Liga? They are super leagues.

"The English one is very physical, and as you can see, I don’t have the ideal physique! Joking aside, I loved playing in England; Spanish football is more my style of play.

“Future? I would like to stay and play for Lazio again, but this depends on the discussion with United and what they will want to do with me.

“I have a contract with the club; it’s like a second home for me. I have been there since I was 16; I always talk to the people who work for the club.”

Pereira has two years remaining on his United deal, but they may be prepared to cash in should they receive a suitable offer.

The Brazilian's minutes were seriously hampered when Bruno Fernandes arrived and the Portuguese star continues to command a huge role in the team.

That could be a decisive factor in his future with Solskjaer confessing it was best for him to head out on loan back in the summer.

“They’re a big club, Lazio. Andreas needs to play regularly," he said.

“He started last season really well and played loads of games. You could see the confidence growing and see him developing but, after we signed Bruno, that position that Andy played in was taken because Bruno came in and had such an impact. We decided this is what was best for Andreas.”

United recently announced their released list and have let the likes of Sergio Romero seek pastures new.

Solskjaer though is hoping to land several big name signings in the coming months - one of which is Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund winger is currently with England and was of interest to United last summer.

They are again set to test the German side's resolve whilst a centre-half is also on their shortlist.
