Man Utd's Andreas Pereira names Liverpool pair when asked about most 'cocky' opponents

Manchester United's Andreas Pereira has said that Liverpool pair James Milner and Virgil van Dijk are the two most arrogant opponents he comes up against.

The Brazilian was asked to pick out which players are the most "cocky" in England's top flight.

Pereira has spent several years at the Red Devils and played against the vast majority of the Premier League's stars.

But when asked in an interview to name names he produced the two Liverpool stalwarts who have just lifted won the league title.

Pereira used the work "marrento" which is Portuguese for "cocky" or "arrogant".

"I don't really like that guy, Milner," the 24-year-old told  Desimpedidos when asked for an answer.

"And to tell you the truth, I don't like that guy, the defender, Van Dijk. [He is] Marrento, man. Even the way he plays is kind of arrogant."

Pereira's comments come just days after Frank Lampard warned Liverpool not to get "too arrogant" when his Chelsea side visited Anfield.

Milner, who won his third league title following two with Manchester City, made the headlines this week for a comment he made hitting out at United.

The 34-year-old joked that he never wanted to see red on the Premier League trophy prior to Liverpool's success as they celebrated.

He was heard saying: “First time I ever wanted a red ribbon. It’s always been United before. F*cking w*nkers”.

Pereira has had some kid words to say about his compatriots though.

"David Luiz and Willian are the most 'good' guys," he said.

The United star was also asked about which players he rates the most highly in world football and named PSG pait Thiago Silva and Marquinhos as well as Sergio Ramos.
