Man Utd predicted XI vs Istanbul Basaksehir clash as three changes expected

Manchester United will resume Champions League action tonight, with revenge firmly on the mind of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's troops.

The Red Devils will welcome Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir to Old Trafford for their fourth Group H match.

United suffered a shock defeat to the Super Lig outfit three weeks ago, losing 2-1 in Instabul.

And Solskjaer - whose long-term future at the Theatre of Dreams is still up in the air - is expected to make three changes to the side that narrowly edged past West Brom last Sunday.

Axel Tuanzebe is expected to return to the heart of United's defence alongside skipper Harry Maguire.

The former Aston Villa loanee has only made one solitary league appearance this season but has featured in all three of United's European outings so far this campaign.

Scott McTominay is also expected to return to the fold tonight having been rested following his part in Scotland's busy schedule during the international break.

A starting berth against Okan Buruk's side is expected to be bestowed on new-boy Donny van de Beek, although Paul Pogba could start ahead of him if he's deemed match fit.

Solskjaer provided injury updates on his squad on Monday night, saying: “We hope that the lads will recover quickly. Luke [Shaw] is out, Phil Jones [is] obviously out, still.

“Jesse is still self-isolating because he’s been in contact with a COVID positive. He’ll be back soon.

"Apart from that, we have one or two little niggles that we’ll have to make a decision on towards the end."

He added: “I hope Paul is going to be available. He trained this morning. It's still uncomfortable and [there's] some pain, so we’ll make a decision on that in the morning [on Tuesday].”
