A victory over Wolves, who sit bottom of the table with just two points, would see Ruben Amorim’s side move level on points with Chelsea, who drew with Bournemouth on Saturday and were not long ago considered genuine title contenders.
It’s a stark contrast to United’s position at this stage last season, when they were 14th after 14 games and flirting with relegation.
Despite United’s strong start, Wolves should not be underestimated. The Midlands side beat the Red Devils twice last season, completing a Premier League double in 2024–25. United also face injury concerns, with Benjamin Šeško and Harry Maguire ruled out.

RF: Bryan Mbeumo—United’s most potent attacking threat this season, Mbeumo has six goals across all competitions and is always dangerous on the ball. He’s previously enjoyed scoring against Wolves during his Brentford days.
LF: Matheus Cunha—Though he’s struggled to find the net for United, Cunha has impressed with his clever link-up play and intelligent movement in the final third. A couple of goals against his former side could be just the spark he needs to rediscover his scoring touch.
