Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has handed starts to Anthony Martial, James Garner and Brandon Williams in this evening's Europa League clash at Partizan Belgrade.
Garner makes his first United start, and Harry Maguire has also been named captain for the game in the Serbia.
It is 18-year-old Garner’s second senior appearance after coming off the bench against Crystal Palace last season.
Martial starts for the first time since suffering a thigh injury in August, while another academy graduate, Williams, also starts.
Solskjaer looks like sticking with the three-man central defensive system that performed so positively in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool, but Phil Jones comes in for Victor Lindelof.
While the Europa League may look like United’s best chance of qualification for the Champions League, Solskjaer has refused to give up on a top four finish.
He said: “I think the Europa League is important for us. It’s a tournament, which the last time we were in it we won it. But you can’t rely on a cup tournament on winning it. There might be luck or might be injuries.
“The Champions League for next season is an aim. If it’ s top four or Europa League it doesn’t matter. We’re still not in November and talking about not being in top four at the moment - you’re a little bit early there.”
