Man Utd and Leeds fans involved in mass brawl during pre-season friendly in Perth

Violent clashes marred a pre-season friendly between Manchester United and Leeds United during the game played in Perth, Australia.

Manchester United won the fixture 4-0 but trouble in the stands took away from what was a good run-out for both sides as they prepare for the new campaign.

The bitter rivalry between the two clubs is well documented, but with Leeds having spent the last 15 years outside of the Premier League, both sets of fans rarely get the chance to face off.

Despite the fact that the game was played on the other side of the world, supporters took full advantage of the opportunity.

In the video, fans can be seen punching each other while others watch the carnage unfold. Stewards, wearing hi-vis jackets, have to step in the break the fans up.

They pull one man away, but while they are dealing with him, another wearing a white Leeds shirt steps in and starts kicking a United fan.

The stewards are outnumbered by the fighting fans and are clearly in needs of assistance.

Help arrives later on, when a flood of police officers wearing black uniforms stream down into the stadium to split up the fans.

Manchester United took the bragging rights on the pitch as they dominated Leeds thanks to goals from Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones and Anthony Martial.
