A man has tragically died following a house fire in North Dublin earlier today.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Cabra Park at approximately 1.30pm today after the alarm was raised.
Dublin Fire Brigade also attended the scene and extinguished the fire but despite the best efforts, the man lost his life and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area is currently being preserved for a technical examination and investigations are ongoing at the Dublin 7 residence.
A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai were called to the fire at the residence in Dublin 7 this afternoon, Wednesday 19th May 2021 at approximately 1.30pm."
"Dublin Fire Services also attended the scene and extinguished the fire."
"The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and investigations are ongoing."
