A 46-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court charged over a disturbance that led to a woman and baby being taken to hospital and nearby homes evacuated.
At around 9am on Saturday, officers were called out to a disturbance on St Leonard’s Street in Edinburgh.
Specialist officers, including firearms officers, attended and a 46-year-old man was arrested and later charged in connection with the incident.
A 38-year-old woman and a baby were taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police closed St Leonard's Street at the junction of St Leonard's Place and Lutton Place while the incident was ongoing.
The man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
