Man taken to Royal Infirmary after one vehicle crash on the M8 Eastbound

A man has been rushed to Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary after a one vehicle crash on the M8 on Friday.

His condition is currently unknown. Police and ambulances raced to the scene near Broxburn just before 4pm, after reports of the crash.

Police have said enquires are ongoing. On Friday afternoon, Traffic Scotland confirmed that there are delays of up to 40 minutes, which could increase.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.55 pm on Friday, 14 April 2023, police received a report of a one vehicle crash on the M8 Eastbound, just before junction 2 at Livingstone, West Lothian.

"One man has been taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing."
