Man shot dead in West Humboldt Park: police

A man was killed in a shooting Thursday in West Humboldt Park, police said.

The 29-year-old was shot in the chest about 8 p.m. in the lobby of a home in the 1200 block of North Kildare Avenue, Chicago police said.

He was found unresponsive and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the fatality.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
