Sometimes there's nothing heartier than tucking into a plate of beans on toast, but it can be frustrating to eat if you're not a fan of soggy bread. One man claims to have the solution to this and he shared his discovery in a post on Reddit. The post, which was shared a year ago, has recently resurfaced online with some branding it "criminal".
The unnamed Reddit user took to the Casual UK forum to ask if anybody else liked their beans overdone to avoid the toast getting soggy. His method consists of overdoing the beans before pouring them on top of the toast and the idea is that it will stop the toast getting too soggy.

Many fellow Redditors commented on the post agreeing with this method for cooking beans with one saying: "Glorious! When I was a student I would buy a small white loaf (not sliced) cut it in half, hollow it out and fill it with well done cheesy beans. You eat it like an open ended pasty."
Another person commented: "I was going to make a roast for dinner but this actually sounds better."
While a third person wrote: "Yep, I call them 'hotel beans', like beans in a buffet brekkie that have been under the lights for a couple of hours. Only way to have them!"
However, some were less than impressed with the method for the beans with some even deeming it 'criminal'.
One person was revolted by the method but still interested in tasting it, they said: "That's just criminal. I love it."
Another person was judgmental of the method itself, but still interested in the overall taste and said: "That sounds revolting and I must have it."
A third person was even concerned for the author of the post and said: "There's something naughty and nice about it but I'd be worried a potential employer might see it."
Either you look at it, this method has caused quite a stir and keep an eye out the next time you cook beans to see which way you prefer.
