A man has been seriously injured after being mown down by a hit-and-run driver in Dundee.
Police Scotland are investigating after the male in his 30s was struck by a blue hatchback in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The victim sustained a serious leg injury, although his condition is not life-threatening.
The incident occurred at about 2.50am, at the junction of Nethergate and South Tay Street in Dundee and involved a car described as a blue hatchback.
It crashed into the man, who was wearing a hooded top and shorts, before the car is thought to have carried out a u-turn at the junction before heading off eastwards towards the traffic lights at the junction of Nethergate and Marketgait.
The vehicle is then believed to have travelled towards the Westport Roundabout, with the driver not stopping at the scene of the collision.
CCTV of the area is being reviewed, however police would still like to speak to anyone who was in the area around the same time.
