Man's late night snack 'creation' leaves people wanting to call the police

While we all have our favourite comfort foods, some are more unusual than others. A man's strange take on a late-night snack has people gagging and running for the bathroom, as he shared a photo of his unusual food combo on Reddit and created a "culinary controversy".

"Behold my post-gig creation," he says, alongside a photo of the offending items. The shocking creation involves sliced cheddar cheese on top of a Jaffa cake. But far from teasing the taste buds of Reddit respondents, the bloke’s post-gig abomination is taunting them.

While most of us would pick up a kebab or curry on our way back from a night out, if you are still ravenous when you get home, you might raid the cupboards and fridge and make a mighty fry up or opt for a bowl of cereal instead.

The snack has left some people feeling sick (u/MrWhispy/Reddit)

Instead the bloke plumped for a bizarre combo that has left people gobsmacked, as the sweet and savoury combo seems to have gone too far for some.

"I've called the f****** police," one person wrote, while another jibed "Begone foul demon whence you came".

Another angry commenter wrote "Take this abomination away" before someone else added "There are some sick ppl in this world!…You need help my friend!"

While there was plenty of horror in the comments, others recounted different strange Jaffa cake combinations, proving they are strangely more common than you might think.

"My father has cucumber slices with Jaffa cakes, you and him are two peas in a pod that need to be locked up somewhere far away from civilisation", one Reddit user wrote.

There were a few budding Blumenthal-types who could see how cheese and orangey biscuits could work and were willing to suspend their disbelief and give it a go.

One person said: "Now I'm wondering what dark chocolate digestives and Stilton would be like?"

Another reminded us that fruit cake and cheese eaten together is not so unusual: "Not too bad, very similar to cheese and fruit cake, but with a slightly citrusy aftertaste and a lot less stodgy".

"Like a mini cheesecake. I'd absolutely eat this without hesitation", another added.
