Man's body pulled from Glasgow's River Clyde as police swarm Pacific Quay

A body has been pulled from the River Clyde this afternoon as police swarm Pacific Quay in Glasgow.

A man was found dead in the water by officers at around 1.05pm today sparking an investigation.

Police, ambulance, and fire services raced to the scene before making the grim discovery.

Investigations are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde near Pacific Quay in Glasgow.

"The incident was reported to police around 1.05pm on Monday, 11 January.

"The body was recovered with the assistance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were requested at 1.07pm on Monday, January 11 to assist emergency service partners at an incident near to the Glasgow Science Centre, Pacific Quay, Glasgow.

“Crews have now left the scene.”
