Man's body found in house after police called to 'concern for safety'

The body of a man in his 40s was found at a house on Aigburth Road.

Police were called to the address at around 9.10am on Sunday, September 27, to a report of concern for safety of a man.

Emergency services were seen parked outside the property, while members of the ambulance crew went inside.

A man in his 40s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and a file has been passed to the coroner.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We were called to a report of concern for safety of a man at an address on Aigburth Road at about 9.10am on Sunday, 27 September.

"Emergency services attended and the body of a man in his 40s was found at the address.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Next of kin have been informed and a file has been passed to the coroner.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
