Man rushed to hospital with head injury after assault in Angus

A man was rushed to hospital with injuries to his head after being assaulted in Brechin.

The 38-year-old male victim was struck from behind and sustained injuries to his head when he was attacked on Montrose Street, near Denburn Court, between 11.30pm on Friday, October 30 and 3.45am on Saturday, October 31.

He was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where he received treatment for his injuries.

Cops in Angus are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the attack to come forward.



A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of what happened is asked to get in touch.

"You can call 101, quoting incident 0543 of 31 October, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
