Man rushed to hospital in serious condition after crash in Weston-super-Mare

A man is in a serious but stable condition following a crash in Weston-super-Mare.

Station Road was cordoned off by police yesterday evening (November 6) after a car collided with a pedestrian near to the town's Tesco petrol station.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has confirmed a man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The force has since said the casualty remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A police spokesperson confirmed yesterday the incident was reported at 7.21pm.

He said: "We were called at 7.21pm to a serious collision between a pedestrian and car.

"A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries."

The road has since been reopened.
