Man rushed to hospital after 'stabbing' in Glasgow as cops launch probe

A man has been rushed to hospital after a 'stabbing' in Glasgow this afternoon.

Mercy crews raced to the assault outside Shettleston Library on Wellshot Road shortly before 2pm on Wednesday, February 22. It is understood to be a blade attack.

Upon arrival, emergency services discovered an injured man, who was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. His condition is not yet known.

Cops locked down the street as they launched an investigation into the incident. An image from the scene shows four police cars and an ambulance on the scene.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers were called to Wellshot Road in Glasgow at around 1.55pm on Wednesday, February 22, following an assault.

“A man has been taken to hospital by ambulance. Enquiries are ongoing and a police presence remains at the scene.”
