Man rushed to hospital after being 'stabbed in the head' in Dublin

A man was rushed to hospital after being allegedly stabbed in the head in Dublin.

The shocking incident happened in the Ballyfermot area of the capital on Sunday morning.

The victim suffered a number of head injuries and was rushed to St James's Hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

A man in his 30s has since been arrested and is detained at Clondalkin Garda Station.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended the scene of an assault in the Ballyfermot area of Co Dublin this morning, 24th October 2021.

"A male had received a number of wounds to his head during the incident. He was taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

"A man (30s) has since been arrested by Gardaí and is currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act (1984).

"Investigations ongoing."
