Man rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth hospital as police cordon off property

A man has been "injured" and a property cordoned off following an incident in Glasgow this evening (February 1).

Police taped off a property on Slatefield Street after being called to the incident at around 4.10pm.

The 38-year-old man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His condition is not yet known.

An eyewitness told GlasgowLive: "Multiple officers are on the scene guarding around the front and rear doors."

Inspector Kevin Dougall, from Police Scotland, said: "Around 4.10pm on Wednesday, 1 February, 2023, we were called to a report of a man being injured in the Slatefield Street area of Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
