Man robbed of electric scooter by knife-wielding teens

A man was robbed at knifepoint of his electric scooter on a cycle path in Bristol.

The 26 year-old victim was on the cycle path in Mangotsfield at around 7.30pm yesterday (November 19) when he was approached by a group of teenagers.

The teens threatened the man with a knife then made off with his scooter.

The victim ran to a nearby property in Junction Way to raise the alarm.

Police carried out a search of the area in a bid to trace the suspects but no one was found.

The stolen Xiaomi Pro-make scooter is a black and red.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any dash cam footage to contact them.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called just after 7.30pm on Thursday 19 November to a report of a man being robbed of his electric scooter on the Bristol to Bath cycle path.

“The 26-year-old said he was surrounded by a group of teenagers, one of whom threatened him with a knife.

“He ran to a house in nearby Junction Way, Mangotsfield to report the incident.

“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area with no trace of the suspects.”
