Man 'restores faith in humanity' with lovely response to woman who hit his car

Situations in which cars get hit or damaged can often be very stressful for everyone involved.

However, one man has been praised for his 'amazing' and 'kind' reaction after a woman admitted to accidentally hitting his parked car.

In a video posted to TikTok, Alex Harris films as he walks over to his car with the older lady.

He can be heard telling the woman as they approach the vehicle: "I mean, it's not a parking spot, so I understand.

"How bad is it?"

The woman proceeds to show him where the damage was - with some scratch marks above one of the back tyres.

Instead of being annoyed about the damage, Alex admits he was in the wrong for not parking in a proper space and simply says: "Oh no, that's ok sweetie. I shouldn't have parked there."

Still concerned about the incident, the woman asks: "Do you think you can get that cleaned off?"

He says he will and confirms that it's "not a big deal" before asking if there was any damage to her car.

"No, I was just barely going," she replied.

Alex adds: "It's ok. Are you ok?"

"Yes. Thank you for being so nice about it," she says before they part ways.

The clip went viral, being watched more than 14 million times and garnering over three million likes.

Many praised the man for his response, with one writing: "What a lovely person."

Another said: "That's EXACTLY how you deal with that kinda problem."

"Imagine the fear she had going to tell you what happened and how calm you made her feel," replied a third. "Why am I so emotional over this. You're the best."

"So patient. So kind. I love this," proclaimed someone else.

A different user proclaimed: "If everyone was like this the world would be a better place."

"This is how people should treat one another," added a sixth.

Others branded the whole thing "amazing" and claimed it "restored faith in humanity".
