A man has admitted renting three flats so he could rake in thousands of pounds by subletting them to prostitutes.
Angus Binnie, 62, took out the leases in Dundee’s Hilltown and Ladywell from a letting agency and then advertised the properties for short-term rentals on various websites.
When police raided the flats, the women openly admitted to using them as brothels – and told officers they had been rented to them by Binnie.
Nicola Gillespie told Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday that many of the sex workers had come from out of town.
Binnie would meet them at the train station before taking them to the properties.

Gillespie said: “One woman paid him between £500 and £600 for five days’ rent.”
The prosecutor said police found sex toys, condoms and lubricants at the properties in Mid Road, Stirling Street and Weavers Loan.
She said at one of the flats, there were bottles of baby oil at the foot of a bed and three mobile phones.
Gillespie added: “The lady there said one of them was her ‘sex phone’.”
Binnie, of Dundee, pled guilty to allowing three premises to be used for habitual prostitution between March 20, 2017, and April 24 last year.
His not guilty plea to four charges of human trafficking, one of living wholly or in part on the earnings of prostitution and one of breaching bail were accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael deferred sentence until next month for social work background reports.
Binnie was released on bail.
