A man has been left with bad facial injuries after a brutal hammer attack in Donegal.
The shocking assault occurred at approximately 3am on Sunday morning, April 14 on the Ramelton Road, Letterkenny.
A garda spokeswoman told The Irish Daily Mirror: "A man was assaulted by two males and received injuries to his nose and mouth.
"He was treated at scene by ambulance medics. Two males (18) and (21) were arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 for assault and brought to Letterkenny Garda Station."

Speaking on Highland Radio, Garda Claire Rafferty appealed for anyone who lives in the area or who may have been passing and heard any commotion to come forward.
She added that the use of a hammer may indicate that the attack was "pre-planned."
