A man was shot to death Tuesday in Gresham on the South Side.
The man, 19, was found in the front seat of a vehicle about 8:30 p.m. after officers responding to a shots fired call tried to stop it in the 8000 block of South Carpenter Avenue, Chicago police said.
The 19-year-old had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. Two males fled from the vehicle, and have not been taken into custody.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not provided details about the death.
Area South detectives are investigating.
