A man was "kicked and stamped on several times" during an assault in Weston-super-Mare.
The attack took place in Kings Lane between 9pm and 9.30pm on Monday April 22.
The victim fell backwards onto the floor after being kicked and was then stamped on repeatedly.
He was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.
A CCTV appeal has been released of a man and woman who police believe have important information about the assault.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "Can you help us to identify the man and woman in this picture?
"The incident happened between 9pm and 9.30pm when a man was kicked, causing him to fall backwards onto the floor.
"The victim was then kicked and stamped on several times.
"He was taken to hospital for his injuries to be treated."
