Man in hysterics after pet dogs create 'glitch in the matrix' while sleeping

There's nothing more peaceful than watching your dog sleep - especially when it's the first time they've sat down all day. A pet owner has been left in hysterics after his dogs created a total 'glitch in the matrix' when catching up on their beauty sleep.

Taking to Reddit, user verve1994 shared a picture of his two dogs sleeping in the same unusual position, with the caption: "Twinsie derp. How is this comfortable?" In the photo, the two dogs are seen laying on their backs in their separate beds with their right arms stretched out and back legs spread open.

People couldn't help but laugh at the "derpy" dogs (reddit.com/verve1994)

The owner added: "They are littermates - apparently of the 10, only three came out this colouring.

"She's about 15lbs lighter and three to four inches shorter than he, but it's hard to tell when they are derping like that."

While most users couldn't help but laugh at the "derpy" dogs, others joked about them creating a "glitch in the matrix".

One user said: "OMG. How are these not the same dog?"

Another user added: "CTRL + C CTRL +V."

A third user said: "That looks like a glitch in the matrix."

After wondering why his dogs might have opted for the same sleeping position, the owner added: "I researched the answer further than the fact that they feel secure to expose their bellies like that.

"As I should have expected, there are physiological reasons, too!

"Temperature regulation - between the exposed belly that has practically no hair and the paws exposed to the air, it helps cool them down.

"But since it's cold here, the'’re likely not doing it for that. I'll expect more during the summer.

"It also lets them relax their muscles fully - reduces pressure on joints and muscles."

It comes after a dog owner was urged to call in the exorcist after sharing a snap of his dog in a deep sleep.

In a post on Reddit, user JackNaks showed his dog sleeping soundly in her bed - but her head is twisted right back and the whites of her eyes are showing.

He commented: "Gracie, baby, is that really the most comfortable way to sleep?"

But comfort was the least of everyone's worries as they urged him to contact his local priest to have the 'demon removed from her body'.
