Man in his 80s dead after car collides with wall in horror Dublin crash

A man has been killed in a tragic road crash in Co Dublin.

Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene of the single vehicle crash on the Old Bray Road in Cabinteely, Dublin, on Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred at approximately 10.20am.

Gardaí have confirmed that the driver of the car was fatally injured when his car collided with a wall.

"The man, in his 80s, was later pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to the mortuary at St Columcille's Hospital. A post-mortem will take place in due course," a statement read.

The scene was examined by Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.

Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time who may have camera footage (including dash cam) are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
