A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after another man suffered alleged chainsaw injuries in an incident in West Lothian.
Emergency services raced to Rowan Place in Blackburn at around 10.10pm last Wednesday night.
The injured 35-year-old was rushed to hospital with his injuries.
David Scott appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today in connection with the incident.
He was charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and attempted murder.
The 23-year-old made no plea and will return to the court at a later date.
