A man was rushed to hospital this afternoon after an assault in the city centre.
The incident happened at around 1:30pm on Talbot Street. Gardai and emergency services attended the scene, and the one man was brought to the Mater Hospital for treatment.
It is understood that the man sustained serious injuries. A garda spokeswoman confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the incident.
A spokeswoman said: "Gardaí are investigating the assault of a male on Talbot Street, Dublin 1 this afternoon, Sunday 11 th December 2022.
"The injured man was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious injuries. Investigations are ongoing at this time."
