Man horrified at hidden design detail on Cadbury chocolate Santa

A man was left horrified after he took the foil off a Cadbury chocolate Santa he had bought himself for Christmas.

The innocent shopper says he discovered a dark secret under Santa's seemingly innocent exterior.

Jarrod Bell, from Jackson's Creek Ward in Victoria, Australia, was convinced Cadbury's Christmas Santa chocolate was reshaped from the Easter bunny mould.

Determined to "expose the secret", he visited a local supermarket and took a look at the chocolate manufacturer's Christmas range.

"So Christmas chocolate is all the rage, but see these chocolates here," Jarrod says before picking up the Santa Claus chocolate.

"Now I see this chocolate here – is it just me or is that very clearly the Easter bunny mould with a picture of Santa on it?"

He then points out other Cadbury products such as marshmallow Santas and Caramilk baubles.

"All these Christmas classics... and you have Easter bunny-shaped Santa Claus," Jarrod commented.

"Cadbury, what the hell?"

The wrapper shows a smiling Santa Claus with his hat bending slightly to the left, says the Daily Star.

But to find out what's underneath the wrapper, Jarrod makes a purchase and brings it home for the big reveal.

After peeling off the foil, he theorised: "This is very clearly a rabbit shape that Cadbury thinks can fool us with this Santa garb.

"Like that's very clearly not Santa. That's a rabbit."

Viewers agreed with Jarrod and suggested it could be a way to "get rid of Easter stock".

One eagle-eyed fan noted: "They literally have hair on the inside moulded onto them, they're definitely bunnies. I bought two."

"Oh my God, I was thinking the exact same thing when I bought it," a second wrote.

While a third joked: "It looks like they mutilated it and said 'oh well, just chuck a Santa wrapper on it'."

Jarrod called the chocolate Santa as "imposted Easter bunny", adding: "Cadbury you are clearly trying to pull the rabbit over our eyes!

"This is no Santa!"
