Man has arms ripped open after Rottweiler bites on arm and knocks him to ground

A man has his arm ripped open after he was attacked by a fierce Rottweiler.

The victim was walking along a quiet pavement in Hongyue, China,  when the puppy ran up to him and bit him on the arm.

The unexpected pounce knocked Mr Sun to the ground as he struggled to free himself from the canine.

Security camera footage shows the dog owner, in his 60s, runs to Mr Sun's aid and pull the animal away.

But the dog sinks his teeth into the victim's arm and would not let go.

The dog owner is forced to punch the dog on the snout before finally getting it to release the injured pedestrian.

According to the owner, the Rottweiler, who is just over a year old, wanders off when his gardener forgets  to close the gate.

He claimed his dog then ran towards Mr Sun and bit him 'while playing'.

Mr Sun was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident on Monday.

Pictures emerged show Mr Sun with a large bite wound on his right arm.

He also accepted apology from the dog owner, but it's reported that he is demanding 50,000 yuan (£5,450) in damages from the owner, who he claims to have only offered 8,000 yuan (£870) to cover the medical bills.
